nyc schools

The school system of the NYC getting better? Some people (New York Times ; Jen Medina ) says different. It seems that the NYC schools are at the point where parents don't want to get involed anymore. In July 2, 2008 a survey was done that cost $2 million and was taken by more then 800,000 people. In this survey most students said that they don't feel safe in the hallways and not leaning as much as they want to with so many kids in the classroom. I think the $2 million should have been used on schools (books, paper , etc.) too better the schools we have now. Then the parents would get involed more knowing that the NYC cared about there kid's education. I know my education wasn't perfect , but it worked for me. Hopefully now, it going to get better; For the greater good of our children.

I would use that money in the schools to improve them by adding leaning tools and repairs that school building needs. If a school shows that they want there students to do there best then the student should do there best because the student is only as good as the school. Most schools that have computers, clean hallways and teacher that can use leaning tools to give there students a "hands-on" leaning shows a improvement in a students grades. Even in the way a student behaves in the classroom.
